Effective 25 August 2026
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Past Made Us private production tool accesses and uses Google and YouTube data.
Data accessed
After the channel owner grants consent, the tool may access the authorised YouTube channel's identity and video metadata, upload and manage videos and captions, and read YouTube Analytics metrics and reports.
How data is used
Data is used only to operate the Past Made Us channel: publishing content, maintaining publication records, measuring video performance, and improving future editorial decisions.
Storage and security
OAuth credentials, access tokens, and retrieved analytics evidence are stored locally on the channel owner's controlled computer. Credentials are excluded from the public source repository and protected with operating-system file permissions. The tool does not maintain a public user database.
Sharing, advertising, and sale
Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with third parties. Data is disclosed only when required by law or necessary to protect the security of the service.
Retention and deletion
Local tokens and analytics records are retained only for channel operations. The channel owner can delete local credentials and records at any time and can revoke access from the Google Account permissions page.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
